Introduction
The organization wants to make a society where each person can get their basic education, illiteracy will not be a part of the society, every person will get proper food and women will not be neglected and oppressed by others.
Here are some activities that are ongoing since the organization has started its journey:
Teacher’s Day Celebration
AJWS solemnly celebrated Teacher’s day with the great gusto and gaiety on 5th September 2019 in the school. Students performed a scintillating cultural show to denote their love, respect, acknowledgement and recognition of the hard work put in by the teachers towards their development. The cultural show incorporated poems, songs, dance and drama. They also entertained teachers b y arranging fun games for them. They indicated that teachers play a vital role in making their pupils accountable citizens of tomorrow and wonderful human beings. They are the cornerstone of students’ futures and there is nothing worth enough to gratify them for their successful coordination.
Mother’s Day
The students of Amar Jyoti Sr. Sec. School hosted their mothers on this special occasion. The event was held on 10th May, as mothers were specially invited to spend a memorable day filled with activities and fun. A host of performances were planned to honor and appreciate all mothers. The venue was aptly decorated in keeping with the theme. Attractive boards displaying the creativity of children were also displayed. Mothers’ day cards, messages and photographs all adorned the venue.’Letters of Love’ were written by the junior students for their mothers were also distributed in the program. Parents were entertained by myriad presentations and story enactments, mesmerized Rhyme recitations,
songs, dance performances and story enactments. The day ended with all mothers and children, enjoying themselves and taking back fond memories of a day well spent.
Magical Show
AJWS focuses on activity based learning, and learning magic tricks is a part of the growing up years. To achieve this objective a magic show was organized at Amar Jyoti Sr. Sec. School on 25th of July, 2019. A magician performed several tricks on stage which left the children astonished and mesmerized. He called up some children & two teachers and performed tricks with them. He also taught the children a few magic tricks, including a trick with restoring 64 bits of paper into a sheet. the children remained glued to the show till it ended. This helped the children amplify their observation skills and concentration. This show also helped the children to reduce their stage fright as they learnt how to conduct themselves on stage. They had a lot of fun also.
Independence Day Program
68th Independence day was celebrated by students and parents in Amar Jyoti Sr. Sec. School; many villagers also took part in this program. Our director hoisted the National Flag and all the students performed some cultural programs. Students of KG and 1st standard sung a patriotic song and upper class students addressed us about our freedom fighters. The school students showcase their talent and creativity through painting the plain canvas. The students were given different topics on which they showed their talents. Chocolate, biscuits, sweets and snacks were distributed among these children and local people. At last, teachers addressed our national program and thanked the organizer of the program.
Awareness on Water Conservation
‘Water’ is one of the most important earth resources and its conservation is at the top of the curriculum in today’s green-conscious world. Learning the value and importance of conserving the earth’s resources should be practiced from the childhood days. School level is the base of any kind of social and mental development of a student. Learning the water preserving process at this stage will definitely be inherited in their future life. So the school decided to run an Awareness program on Water conservation on the occasion of Independence day. All students, their parents and local people attended this program.
Gokulashtami
It was celebrated on 24th August, 2019 to mark the birth of Lord krishna. Children dressed as Radhas and Krishnas make the celebration more attractive and holy. After worshiping Lord Krishna, they danced to the tune of ‘Raas Garba’. They also made pyramids and broke the ‘Dahi Handi’. At the end of the occasion, the nutritious ‘prasad’ of ‘Gopal Kala’ was distributed among all the participants and present people.
Gandhi jayanti
Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated in a unique way last year on 1st October. A Swaxhhata Abhiyan was held on 1st october and on 2nd October, a procession of students and staff were taken in the vicinity of the school. Children of Standard 1 to 4 turned in large numbers and made the procession a huge and successful one.
Diwali
It was celebrated on November 26th, 2019 and all the classes were decorated with lanterns and diyas. Children made rangoli outside their classes and had a lot of fun. They were pleasantly surprised to see the gifts which were distributed among all the students. The gifts were in the form of pouches containing pencils, erasers, sharpeners and rulers.
